What data we process, why and on what legal basis

  • Code redemption and orders (email, code, reward, chosen covers, amount and payment status): to deliver your files, handle problems and meet tax obligations. Basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations.
  • Newsletter (email and language): to send you news and releases. Basis: your consent, given when you sign up and confirm your email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
  • "I can't find my code" and contact (email, name or Kickstarter username, reward and message): to check your reward and reply to you. Basis: your request.
  • Security (IP address and date you accept the terms): to prevent fraud and prove your consent. Basis: legitimate interest.
  • Visit statistics: we count, in aggregate, how many times each page is viewed and in which language. We use no cookies for this and store neither your IP nor anything that identifies you.

Who we share it with

Our web host and email provider, and the payment provider you choose when buying, only as far as needed to provide the service. To check that you are a backer we may look at the Kickstarter backer report. We do not sell or hand over your data.

How long we keep it

Order and redemption data for as long as tax law requires (generally 6 years). Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Requests and messages until resolved, and at most 1 year.

Cookies and browser storage

We only use technical items that the website needs to work, so they don't require consent:

  • Session (cookie): keeps your visit going and protects the forms. Deleted when you close the browser.
  • elcap_adult (cookie and local storage, 1 year): remembers that you confirmed you are an adult.
  • elcap_censor (local storage): remembers whether you want to see images censored or not.

We use no advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to support@elcap.shop. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.
